Ocean Decade Conference, April 2024

The Sound and Marine Life Programme poster was showcased during the conference in Barcelona in April 2024.

The Ocean Decade is focused on delivering the science we need for the ocean we want.  The conference highlighted various challenges of the Ocean Decade, including climate change, food security, biodiversity management, sustainable ocean economy, pollution, and natural disasters. As a designated “decade action” the JIP looks forward to contributing important science to this important global initiative.
